Jo Swinson to speak on Caste Discrimination, 1pm Saturday 14th March, Liverpool
We now have the final line-up for our fringe meeting on Caste Discrimination at Federal Conference:
* Julian Huppert MP
* Jo Swinson MP, LibDem minister in the Government Equalities Office
* Meena Varma of the Dalit Solidarity Network
Chaired by Gordon Lishman
Join us to discuss:
- why there's been no sign yet of the promised government consultation on caste discrimination;
- whether caste discrimination really matter, or even exists, in 21st century Britain.
It's at 1pm on Saturday 14th March, room 7, the Arena & Convention Centre, Liverpool.
As always, there'll be the rally, conference policy debates, plenty of fringe meetings, opportunities to meet and question our ministers, the exhibition (where you can get to know some of the party's many member groups) and the leader's speech to round things off.
You may even have the chance to debate and vote on the two amendments that we are submitting for the Manifesto and Freedom of Expression debates.
The meeting is in the secure conference area, so you need to be registered for the conference to go; to find out more and to register, go to the LibDem Conference pages.
