Paul Holmes
Former Lib Dem MP, Paul Holmes, has been appointed an Honourary Co-President of the Humanist & Secularist Liberal Democrats.

The Humanist and Secularist Liberal Democrats are proud to announce that we now have two honorary co-presidents.

Firstly, Paul Holmes, the former Liberal Democrat MP for Chesterfield.

Before leaving Parliament, Paul was the vice-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Humanist Group and served on the Children, Schools and Families Select Committee, where he used his position to voice his opposition to religious discrimination in education.

Paul is joined by Evan Harris, the former Liberal Democrat MP for Oxford West and Abingdon.

During his time as an MP, Evan was one of the most vocal supporters of secularism, rationalism and free expression in the House of Commons. From campaigning for LGBT rights, to laying the amendments that successfully abolished our country's blasphemy laws, Evan was consistently at the forefront of humanist and secularist campaigns.

We are extremely glad to have both Paul and Evan as honorary co-presidents. Their combined advice and support will make our group stronger.
