Brighton 2012: More Reasons to be at Conference

By Toby Keynes

We've been working hard to ensure there's plenty for you to get your teeth into at the Brighton Conference later this month - and we're not the only ones.

We've assembled a schedule of the six key conference events that are most likely to be of interest to humanist and secularist members, and here it is: Conference Events to Watch Out For.

There may be more to come: a number of amendments have been submitted, all raising humanist or secularist concerns. If any of them are accepted for debate, we'll keep you posted.

For now, here's a summary of those six key conference events:

Saturday 22nd Sept, 4.40pm

CONFERENCE DEBATE: Reform of the House of Lords

Sunday 23rd Sept, 1pm

Our AGM, plus workshop: religion in local government

Sunday 23rd Sept, 4.40pm

CONFERENCE DEBATE: Medically Assisted Dying - support our conference resolution

Monday 24th Sept, 1pm

LGBT+, LIBG and Liberal Youth: Changing laws and attitudes - a more equal world

Monday 24th Sept, 6.15pm

HSLD & British Humanist Association: A place for Bishops in the House of Lords?

Tuesday 25th Sept, 1pm

Dignity in Dying: Patient choice, public safety: can we have both at the end of life?

There's much more information in Conference Events to Watch Out For. Please do download it and take a copy with you to Conference.

And don't forget to visit our Stand, in the Ground Floor exhibition area.
